This long Uganda tour introduces you into the country’s top destinations including Murchison Falls National Park, Kibale Forest National Park, Bwindi and Lake Mburo National Park. Day 1 : A trip to Murchison Falls National Park

 A trip to Murchison Falls National Park

Day one of your 9 days Uganda safari involves transferring from Kampala/Entebbe to Murchison Falls 5-6 hours’ drive. Use 4×4 Land Cruiser or Safari Van to embark on 305kms journey with en-route stop visit at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to track rhinos.

Enter Murchison to the south via Kichumbanyobo gate after lunch break in Masindi Town. Head up-to the top of the falls and later check in at your lodge.

Day 2: Game drive & boat cruise experience

Game drive & boat cruise experience

After enjoyable breakfast, drive through the Northern section of Murchison on 2-3 hours’ game drive. Expect to capture sight of diverse wildlife including Uganda Kobs, African bush elephants, buffaloes, the Rothschild giraffes, lions, warthogs, birds and others.

Drive back to be served lunch and later, go for a rewarding boat cruise along Victoria Nile to the bottom of Murchison Falls. It is a 2-3 hours’ water sport experience offering you astonishing sight of hippos, crocodiles, aquatic birds and several other wildlife species.

Day 3 : Murchison to Kibale Forest National Park-7 hours

After you have had breakfast, take 6-7 hours’ drive from Murchison to Kibale Forest National Park. En-route, stop for lunch in Fort Portal Tourism City and then connect to Bigodi wetland for nature walk. Later, dine and spend a night in a lodge in or around Kibale.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Trek-Queen Elizabeth National Park, 3 hours

Chimpanzee Trek-Queen Elizabeth National Park, 3 hours

Breakfast early in the morning and after, report for briefing on chimpanzee trekking rules at Kanyanchu Tourist Centre. At 8:00am, you will be escorted by an armed park guide to track a habituated chimp community. Spend 2-4 hours navigating through Kibale Forest and once you come across chimpanzees, enjoy a maximum of one hour with them.

Lunch break thereafter and then you drive 3 hours to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Western Uganda. Pass via Fort Portal city while enjoying the stunning view of the surrounding areas. Dinner and comfortable night stay at the lodge you booked.

Day 5 : Game/wildlife drive & boat trip

 Game/wildlife drive & boat trip

An early morning breakfast and after, undertake a game drive via Kasenyi Plains. Enjoy 2-3 hours of viewing diverse wildlife ranging from elephants, leopards, lions, birds, buffaloes, warthogs, antelopes and others. Drive back in your comfortable 4×4 Land Cruiser or 4×4 Safari Van to the lodge where you will have lunch.

Spend 2-3 hours enjoying a boat cruise on an extensive 45kms of Kazinga Channel. Get incredible sight of crocodiles, aquatic birds, hippos and others then get back to dine before you retire for the night.

Enjoy an early morning game drive along Ishasha after breakfast. Spot the tree climbing lions plus variety of other species then continue to southwestern Uganda, 3 hours’ drive to Bwindi. Enjoy your lunch at Savanna Resort en-route to Bwindi which refuges the endangered mountain gorillas.

Day 7: Gorilla trek adventure

Gorilla trek adventure

You will assemble at Bwindi offices after breakfast, get briefed on gorilla trekking rules and actual trek at 8:00am. Embark on 2-6 hours’ gorilla trek adventure inclusive of 1 hour of magical view of endangered mountain gorillas. Only 1 of the 20 habituated gorilla families in Bwindi will be allocated to you to trek and you return to relax at the lodge.

Have an exciting evening on cultural tour in Batwa community. The Batwa pygmies are popular as forest keepers, they took over 500000 years hunting and gathering in Bwindi Forest but left without any impact on the environment.
