Drive 5 hours to Murchison Falls National Park; do rhino tracking en-route

First day of your 10 days best of Uganda safari tour, transfer to Murchison Falls. On your journey of 5-6 hours which takes you from Kampala along Gulu highway, you will have a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking. Get to a hotel in Masindi for lunch then drive 85kms to Murchison Falls via Kichumbanyobo gate. Go visit the top of the falls then continue to your booked lodge.

 Game drive & boat Cruise-Murchison Falls, the largest Uganda safari park

After breakfast, you will engage in a game drive in your main Destination-Murchison Falls National Park. This activity involves you spotting numerous wildlife such as lions, Rothschild giraffes, antelopes, warthogs, elephants, leopards, birds. Return after 3-4 hours’ game drive in a full-size 4×4 Land Cruiser or 4×4 Safari Van with pop-up. You will undertake 2-3 hours’ launch cruise towards the falls with opportunity to spot crocodile as they bask on river banks, hippos, birds and other species.

 Depart Murchison Falls in the Northwest for Kibale Forest National Park

Day 3 of the 10 days best of Uganda safari involves driving from Murchison to Kibale after breakfast. Pay a visit to Amabere Caves en-route and later, enjoy lunch at a hotel in Fort Portal Tourism City. Continue to check into your accommodation in Kibale National Park.

 Chimpanzee trek adventure in jungles of Kibale National Park-travel to Queen

Have an early morning breakfast and later, report to Kanyanchu Tourist Centre for briefing on chimp trekking which is part of your 10 days best of Uganda safari. Kibale sits on 795sq.kms and protects 13 primate species. Today, you will explore one of the habituated chimpanzee communities. After chimp trek, go enjoy a guided nature walk at Bigodi wetland then proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park, 3 hours’ drive.

Game drive & boat cruise for the second time

Game drive early morning after breakfast and this takes you via Kasenyi Plains. You catch sight at African bush elephants, leopards, antelopes, birds, buffaloes, lions. Have lunch at the lodge after 3-4 hours’ game drive and later, take part in launch cruise along Kazinga Channel.

 From Queen Elizabeth National Park; drive to Bwindi 3 hours

On day 6 of the 10 days best of Uganda safari, enjoy your breakfast and later embark on 3 hours’ drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will have a chance to see the tree climbing lions and other species of wildlife. Lunch stopover at Savanna Resort then check into the lodge in Bwindi, 331sq.kms protected area.

Gorilla trekking tour & cultural trip in the Batwa community

Briefing about gorilla trekking rules early in the morning after breakfast. Depending on the region (Bwindi has 4 gorilla sectors; Buhoma, Rushaga, Ruhija and Nkuringo), you will be assigned to a habituated gorilla family to track starting at 8:00am. Trekking gorillas takes about 2-6 hours and it covers a maximum of 1 hour of face to face encounter. You also have opportunity to enjoy a Batwa cultural experience.

After breakfast, drive to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale. Enjoy lunch in Kabale and continue to Lake Bunyonyi to take part in a boat ride to one of the 29 islands. Enjoy a magical view of the dotted islands, sight birds.

Take a boat ride and drive to Lake Mburo National Park

Have breakfast early and after, embark on a boat ride on Lake Bunyonyi-one of the deepest Lakes in Africa. This magnificent lake is comprised of 29 islands and you will visit one of them, enjoy sight of birds and scenic surrounding. After, get back to check out ready to drive to Lake Mburo National Park where you will enjoy a boat cruise on Lake Mburo.

Game viewing & drive back to Kampala or Entebbe 4 hours
